Korean Hair Salon - Park Jung Ho *REVIEW*

Bad. Hair. Day. Who hasn't experienced that huh? You know, I have been suffering with bad, really really bad hair for couple of years. Damaged hair, hair loss, tangle ends, split ends, you name it. I have it all. I made some stupid decisions before, started with allowing my best friend to bleach my hair in her bathroom and then it got all wrong and i have to re-dyed my hair and then permed it and never wanna cut it. And then i have to make it black again for my graduation day. No matter how many and how expensive salon hair treatment i've done, it lasted for two days. So I decided to let my virgin hair grow for a bit and fasting from chemical abuse for about a year, but my hair tangled so badly that I decided to just straighten those strands. Not that many left anyway. My original hair was wavy and grew about 5 inches when i decided to do rebonding. Because my of my hair loss problem, i have a very flat thin hair. Which makes the decision to do rebonding not very clever. Still doubt whether to permed from the roots or just go with straight hair. If i perm them, the tangle won't go away, isn't it?

Just last month a good friend of mine was getting married in Penang. After the ceremony we planned to go to Langkawi straightaway from penang for some recce shooting and my bikini photoshoot. And so i thought, i might wanna do my hair before the photoshoot and why not do it in penang? So i googled the best salon in Penang and the result showed : Korean Hair Salon. The famous korean hairstylist Park Jung Ho is the best Penang hairstylist according to google. There's a lot of good reviews too. His specialty is in korean permed, but best if you get his consultation first before you proceed.

Located in Jalan Fettes, Tanjung Tokong (nearby Island Plaza), be sure to make an appointment before your visit because the waiting lists is long. I have to beg for a slot saying I came from KL and i really need Mr. Park to look at my hair. Lucky me, i got the appointment. Early in the morning, ok. I went there, asked for opinion, and they said if i wanna keep my hair and not cut it, do rebonding. So i did. It took about 3 hours, they did everything they can to make my hair better or at least look better, korean rebonding, keratin treatment, layered cut (to get rid of the bad hair) and fringe trimmed. I was super happy with the result. My hair looks longer, and more manageable. And it cost me RM 380 only for everything. Yeaahhh, less that RM 400. I once did a hair treatment for RM 350 and lasted for 2 days. All i can say was, super friendly and good service, they love your hair as much as you do, they take proper good care of your hair, and the price is ridiculously reasonable. 5 stars from me, Mr. Park! If you have healthier hair, go for the korean perm. You should try them, you will not regret and will be satisfied.

XoXo Gossip Girl.

Hey, have you watched the popular tv series Gossip Girl? I've just finished the whole 6 seasons recently. I bought the whole set of Gossip Girl novels from a second hand store but never bother to read them so I thought maybe I should just watch the tv episodes instead. It was an interesting tv series that you can easily get addicted to. It was very entertaining seeing those boys and girls from the Upper East Side grow up. There's a lot of manipulations, fightings, betrayal among friends and love stories in the show. It was very young adult / family / friendship kinda theme, which means you can almost predict the happy ending or not, and what not. I like the idea of a blogger as the narrator and I bet that's the start of the blogging era. I'm not going to write the synopsis of the drama, just wanna share my favourite characters, plots, etc.

Favourite Character

My fave is definitely Serena Van Der Woodsen. The beautiful and rich teenage girl with sometime kindness in her heart. I really adore her wardrobe in that show. And her hair, to die for. Her character is very typical confused rich-born and spoiled with daddy issue young girl. She has attitude, yes, but she's more "being at the wrong place at the wrong time" from what I've watched. She was always being mistaken to do something she doesn't. At the almost end of the last season I called her the ultimate slut since she'd slept with almost all the male main characters in the show. Even though Blair acted more slutiness like girl, at least she's loyal to one man, at a time. Even so, I still like love you Serena!

Favourite Couple

I know how Blair and Chuck made the most favourite couple, but my personal favourite will be Blair and Dan Humphrey. The reason was, even though I know there's no way those two are going to be together eternally, they made the most interesting couple for the whole series. It was funny and so much interesting to see how the spoiled rich girl, who was so proud of who she is ended up with the loft boy from Brooklyn. It was so funny watching those two struggle to hide their feelings and live in denial for quite some time. But, I do love the ending where Blair settled with Chuck and Dan with Serena. That is just how it was supposed to be. Serena and Nate were also my fave. To me they just look so good together. Pretty couple and that's about it.

Most Hated Character

Urgghh Jenny Humphrey. The gothic idiot really got into my nerves especially when she was trying to sabotage Serena and Nick's relationship. Yo girl, you are so out of his league you idiot blonde! I was just about to enjoy the drama where Serena and Nate were a couple, when she came into the picture and was being a real time bitch. Thank goodness she was sent somewhere I can't remember. Too angry to even care. Hahaha. She didn't won though.

Favourite Story

I just love the moment when Lily and Rufus finally reunite their long lost love. It was romantic. Eventhough they didn't get the happy ending they deserved, at least their kids did.

And of course, the moment when they were about to reveal the real Gossip Girl. Even though when you think about it, it doesn't make any sense, and how the writer of the sites switch from the real owner (I'm not gonna tell) to Georgina to Serena and then back to the real Gossip Girl, these kinda make the viewers tired of figuring out who's the real Gossip Girl. Me, my self and the end of the series didn't even bother who the real GG was.

Any way, if you haven't watch, you should. If you have the time. It's on Netflix anyway. And if you do, enjoyyyy!!!

Our Balinese Experience. The Bali Bill Villa, Seminyak.

Howdy, readers! Do you guys love swimming? I know I do. But here in Malaysia it is not easy to find a swimming pool that isn't crowded with people. I guess because of the hot weather Malaysians like to swim whenever they got their chance. Hotels with nice, big swimming pool have expensive rates, while affordable boutique hotels mostly never have a swimming pool, not even the smaller one. Anyway, last May me and ND celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary. The last two anniversaries we'd went for holiday in Phuket. Yes, our first honeymoon, first anniversary and second anniversary, all three we went to Phuket because we just love it there. Plus, I took advantage of getting my bikini stocks from there too, so..ya. But this year I told him I wanna go to some place different, a different country. Bali seems nice, I told him. Without any objections, we then did some research about Bali and the attractions. Bali has few main tourist spots : Kuta, Ubud, Seminyak, Uluwatu and others.

Kuta is where the surfers are, because the beach is very wavy and a party place too. Seminyak is not that far from Kuta, is where all the villas and fine dining restaurants are located. Ubud is about an hour drive from Seminyak is the cultural place, where you can find the art markets etc. We also learned that Bali has a lot of pool villas located mostly in Seminyak, at a very affordable rate. We found a place called The Bali Bill Villa, located in Seminyak. It's a private pool villa (yes, your own swimming pool) and the price is only about MYR 350 per night with breakfast. We went all crazy when we thought about the idea of having our own swimming pool, we will never get that here in Malaysia, not for that price. The Bali Bill Villa is one of the cheapest private pool villa in Bali, probably because of the location, it is not anywhere near to the beach. We arrived in Denpasar Airport at about 6.30 pm, so by the time we got to the villa, it's already dark and our taxi driver can't find the place because it was literally a quite dark and quiet location. That explains the cheaper price ha. We checked in, and the villa was AMAZING. We both immediately changed into our swimming suits and attacked the swimming pool.

We went all "China" that night, swimming non-stop despite the fact that the earlier plan was to spend some romantic quiet time together. Later that night we went out to look for some food, since the villa did not provide any room service except for breakfast. We have to walk about 5 to 10 minutes to find few small restaurants by the roadside. The villa has a proper kitchen and dining table, it was very comfortable to eat take outs there. The next morning, the staff brought our breakfast to our villa so we can have our breakfast by the pool. Ah, what a life.

Can you see the happy face or maybe sleepy face? Finished our breakfast, it's swimming time again. We really didn't have the mood to explore the town at that time, not until we got hungry. So the staff there called for Motorbike Rental Service, and they sent us a bike not long after that. I can't remember the rate but it's not more than MYR 30 per day. So we went out along the famous Sunset Road, looking for some food. It's really easy to went around Bali once you find the Sunset Road because it's the long road that connects Kuta and Seminyak. After food, we went back to the villa and the routine continues. For the next two days.

Only the day before we're supposed to leave Bali we went for some shopping. We went to the Discovery Mall, Beachwalk Mall both in Kuta, and Krisna Souvenir Shop. The price was very very very cheap. Even the food was cheap. We also went to Kuta Beach, thought of enjoying the sunset. But the locals kept trying to sell us stuffs, we got annoyed and left. And then later that night we found a place called Sushi Hanna, located somewhere along the Sunset Road. It's a Japanese Restaurant, a very nice decorated restaurant with awesome choices of menus. We ordered plenty of sushis (you can see from the picture) with two cocktails and those only cost us about MYR 60.

It was a great dinner. We both had a nice memorable time in Bali. Even though we didn't get to see much of Bali, by choice, but we were satisfied with the trip. The villa was definitely the best experience and I highly recommend The Bali Bill Villa Seminyak if you are looking for a nice affordable private pool villa in Bali. That is all for now. Feels Like I'm in Paris. iMiirage Restaurant, Ipoh.

Hello readers! I'm in the writing mood again today, Thank God. I have bunch of topics lined up but was too lazy to open my laptop. But then if I don't I probably never will. Just last week I was celebrating ND's 36th birthday. It's the 4th time we've been celebrating his birthday together. I've always dreaming of taking him to some place nice like a beach holiday or something like that, or maybe a fancy candlelight dinner. I thought of doing that this year but since he himself wasn't sure if he's going to be around during his birthday, so I decided not to book anything in advance or else... (Yeah baby, I know you are reading this, you've just missed Krabi). But then I've managed to arrange something at the last minute, nice enough to treat him for his sweet 36. It wasn't a fairytale romantic dinner or anything, but it was quite a nice night we've had.
ND was jumping when I asked him if he wants to go to Tambun's Hotspring for his birthday. So we've decided to go to Ipoh, Perak. Then I thought maybe I could treat him to a nice dinner, so I tried to search for a fancy restaurant. It's amazing what you can find on google these days. After few readings, I've decided to give this one place a try. 

iMiirage restaurant, located at Ipoh Soho. Few reasons why actually. First, because it is well known for its ambience dining experience, through their 270 degree LED video projection (got this from their website) where you can feel the experience of dining surrounded by an aquarium or the view of Paris City, which was my favourite. And since ND do 360 degree virtual tours I thought this could be funny. Second reason was I love, LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that they provide online reservation services that works. And the best thing is you can order your food in advance at 25% off, from the complete menu, settle all the payment with special request and everything, only at their website. I heard they have mobile apps too. Technology. It's so awesome. And the third reason was it's one of the most romantic dinner place you can find in Ipoh. There's not much choice, it's a small city.

So I ordered a three course meal for ND which consisted of salad, main course (lamb), dessert (ice cream) and a drink. And I ordered pasta for myself and a drink. I sent them a special request for a birthday cake for ND. The food was really really good. All of them, with no flaws. The portion was enough for us, we finished everything. Sorry I don't have the pictures of all the dishes, we were starving, we ate so fast we didn't remember to take any pictures of them. The service was fine, the staffs were friendly, and I like that the place was very quiet.

There's two ambiences playing that night, the aquarium and the Paris view. It changes I think every 20 minutes or so. I like the Paris view. The aquarium was a bit weird. Too blue for me.

And then the best part happened. They brought a slice of cake with candle and a happy birthday song was playing from the audio in the dining room. ND was so shocked and shy, that was the best moment of the night.

All these experience cost me about MYR 130, for the food and drinks and dessert and they also gave ND a little flower soap as a birthday present. This place is worth checking out, recommended for a romantic dinner and special occasions.

It's so spicy I cried like a baby. Hong La Jiao Steamboat.

Hello readers! From the title you can already tell that this time I'm gonna write about food, steamboat in particular. I've always been a huge fan of steamboat. Any type of steamboat, just name it. Either Thai, Chinese, Malaysian, Mongolian or even Korean steamboat, I love them all. I've tried all kinds, but this time, it's a different experience. You can google "Szechuan Steamboat" or "Szechuan Hot Pot" and you can see the images that pop up are really 'red and angry'. You can tell that it's damn spicy. So I've known about Szechuan Steamboat for a while now, some even call it Mongolian Steamboat. It's not as easy to find as Korean Steamboat I think, even if there is, some maybe taste not as good as the other. My experience in Penang was, by far, the best Szechuan I've ever had. Not to mention, probably the spiciest too. I found this restaurant from google. The name was Hong La Jiao Steamboat, located at Jalan Burma, Georgetown. It's a proper restaurant with air condition and everything, and it is advisable that you call them to make a reservation before hand, or else you will have to face a long queue just to get a table. They have these Chinese Emperor or Dynasty Theme decorations, I'm not sure but it looks the same as I used to see in the tv, which was interesting, even the workers were wearing the brown uniforms of the patriot or army, maybe. But they were all dressed in Traditional Chinese clothes for sure and I liked it. Anyway, the menu came and we (myself, ND and a friend) already know what to order. The Szechuan Hot Pot, of course and we paired it with Szechuan Fried Beef.

You can choose to either go for one type of soup for the whole pot, or you can also pair one soup with another type of soup or dish. Usually, people in their right minds will go for Szechuan, pair it with a normal herbal soup, but since we aren't those people, we went for spicy and spicy. Even the waiter asked us few times if we're sure we want them both to be spicy? And then you can choose from million of choices of ala carte  menu of meat and vegetables that you want in your Hot Pot. Please bear in mind that this is a non-halal restaurant, so they do serve pork in their menu. But since me and ND didn't do pork, we ordered beef and fish, together with other vegetables and tofus.

I really like their choices of condiments, they are properly labelled so you know what you are going for, and you have a whole table of them. Hey it's free refill too.

When the food arrived, we started with the Szechuan Beef while waiting for the Steamboat to cook. It was awesome. Spicy and delicious. Could be better if we've had them with rice, but we are not really the fan of rice, or in other words, we're trying to cut down carbs (Lame). And then we tried the Szechuan Steamboat. Oh my God it was crazy spicy. They were very generous in terms of the flavour that we kinda regret we didn't go for a milder option. But the funny thing was, even though it was too spicy we just can't stop eating! It was so good we're willing to cry rather than stop. We know the after effect is not gonna be so pleasant but the hell with it. We managed to finish all the food, and I am so happy that everything was so delicious. No wonder they are always full with customers even though I don't think many people can handle the level of spiciness. The total bill was about RM 160, for three hungry people, it's reasonable enough. We went for ice cream afterwards to cool down ourselves a bit before taking turn going to the toilet. But overall, it was a great experience and worth sharing. We were all very satisfied and I'm glad that I've found this place will definitely bring my whole family here someday. Let's cry together.

It's a real wood. The Chamber's Hotel, Georgetown.

Good Day, Readers! As I am writing this post, I was waiting for ND who's having a presentation for Penang Tourism Office. I had just checked out from our room, and now just sitting in their 'lobby'. Why 'lobby'? Because it doesn't look like a real hotel lobby, more like an office reception.

We were staying at this place called The Chamber's Hotel, located at Lebuh Light, Georgetown. Exactly opposite the famous Padang Kota Lama and just next door is the Penang Trick Museum. It was our first experience staying in this hotel. Both me and ND were really into AirBnB these days, there's where we found this place. When we arrive at the location, my thought was "Oh, my. Is this some kind of a shop lot budget hotel?" There's literally a 7eleven downstairs. But then I thought again, for MYR120 per night, during the weekend and in the heart of Penang City, maybe this is the best u can get. So we went up to check ourselves in and I instantly fell in love with the interior.

Colonial. The word is Colonial. Even though it wasn't a proper hotel lobby, the cleanliness and the look of the place were really interesting. When I saw the room, it was breathtaking. Breathtaking maybe a bit exaggerated but it was really beautiful. They maintain the Colonial theme of the hotel and the building itself. All the furniture were proper, and huge too. Made from the heavy Jati wood which is quite rare now.

U may feel like you're staying in your grandmother's house except that they have wifi and astro. I have stayed in few boutique hotels before but this one is different. Very spacious compare to normal boutique hotel, properly designed and taken care of with a very reasonable price tag. There's no breakfast provided, but since I love breakfast in bed ND ordered 'the big breakfast' from the restaurant downstairs (The Chamber's Restaurant) and it was awesome!

We stayed for two nights and we were satisfied. The only downsides are there's no elevator (hahaha) and parking might be a bit of a problem.  Oh and because it's located beside a very busy road, the sound of cars and other vehicles passing by might annoyed you a little bit. The staffs are all very friendly and helpful and we will definitely consider staying here again the next time we're here. So that is it for The Chamber's Hotel experience. Greetings readers!
I have finally decided to start a blog after few months of consideration. Le Husband has been suggesting few times actually, so here I am. Writting. I thought this might be the best time to start since I've been travelling alot these days, following ND (Le Husband) who travels all around the world for work, and since I daydream a lot, why not put them into words instead?

Coming up with the blog name was easy, putting the reason into words is not. Why I chose "Meet The Girl Who Has Everything" has nothing to do with bragging, but I'm being thankful with everything I have now. I don't drive expensive car nor living in a fancy pool villa. Just a cute small black car and the awesome one bedroom apartment. I finally able to hold my masters degree I've been longing for, and being married to the most awesome guy in the whole world is the best thing that have ever happenned to me, more than I could ever wish for. I have the greatest family and in laws, and blessed with wonderful friends. Best of all, I have my own bikini and beachwear business that I have been running for almost a year now.
